| Welcome to our School. |
|
We hope that you will enjoy reading about our programs, activities, and the interesting things we are doing and learning. Literacy and numeracy are at the heart of our curriculum, but as you will see we offer a range of opportunities in the arts, in languages, in science, in Australian history and in sport and physical education. We also try to be a friendly school where children and teachers feel a sense of belonging and ownership. We aim to encourage our children to be independent, to dream, to be challenged and to make the most of every opportunity that presents both now and in the future. In order to do this our children must develop resilience; maintain the capacity to have fun, develop a good sense of humour and to treat others with respect and compassion.
Our teachers demonstrate life-long learning to the children. We have a strong culture of professional development and this is evident in our team planning and our data. We are always trying to build on the success that our children experience and work with them and our parents to support further improvement. We all strive to maintain the culture of Albert Park Primary School; to encourage others, to take pride in doing our best, to work as a team and wherever possible to see every day as an opportunity to learn and to enjoy our wonderful world. Welcome to our school. Julie Askew Principal
